About Me

So who am I?

It's always hard to answer that question in a succinct way since I'm a different person depending upon what circle I'm in. I'm an IT professional in Quality Assurance.  I'm an editor and writer for a music publication. I'm a happily married resident of the greater Minneapolis, Minnesota area. I love playing sports with volleyball, ultimate, and broomball being some of my favorites. Investing is one of my favorite hobbies. I geek out by reading comic books, watching sci-fi, and keeping up on tech news. I probably spend too much time on social networks. I'm just like everyone else... but with a blog.

Why does this matter?

Knowing that I am so many different people wrapped into one person should hopefully help to explain why this blog is as scattershot as it is. I love to write about all of my passions, whether it is music, QA, finance, my personal life, graphic novels, or bad horror movies. This blog has it all!  Whether that is a good thing or not is yet to be decided (but my web traffic levels will probably lean towards "not"). My goal is to present me--all facets of me--wearing all of the hats that I wear day to day.

What's in it for you?

There are two reasons I write. First, because I enjoy it. Second, because I hope to engage and interact with other people. The topics I write about are varied, but so too are the people that make their way here. I don't want what I write to be static words thrown out into the ether for people to look at. I want them to pique an interest, to spark a dialogue, or to be a starting point for initiating communication. So if you feel inclined to get a bit more information on me or want to contact me, I'm active on a multitude of social sites and would encourage you to hit me up on any of those services, iconized for your pleasure below.
